Wrongfully Accused by Dr. Pat

Martin, a Muslim background believer (MBB), is the owner of an apartment where a number of Christians have been meeting every Monday morning.  Christians meeting together is not illegal, but if any Muslim neighbors object because of open discrimination against Christians, the police will come.

The police raided the apartment during a recent meeting and took Martin and his brother to the Sheik (leader) of the local Mosque.  The owner of the apartment building has a son who is a lawyer and when he heard the news the next day, he went immediately to the police.  By this time, they had framed Martin, accusing him of smoking drugs (punishable by 3-6 years in prison) and of selling drugs which could mean up to 25 years in prison.  He had been tortured with electric shocks and beatings and forced to sign a confession, which the police had written.

Martin’s "real crime" was changing his religion. Early on, the lawyer thought that he would be released, but we received word that his release was denied.

Please pray for strentgthin faith for Martin and his early release from prison. Pary for him to minister to fellow prisoners.
